The Lewistown City Council met last night to vote on the visitor's center.
The Council voted yes if the seller agrees to accept the price they offer, and
if they city is able to purchase the lot next to the building for parking.
Mayor King would like to see the building open in time for the Spoon River Scenic Drive,
which is held October 1,2 & 8,9 this year! He is hoping to open it to vendors to set up any-
thing from arts/crafts, flea market items, etc. He is also hoping to have food vendors set up
across the street near the Lewistown Fire Department. For more information please call
